Am not rekindling any hatred or animosity, just redirecting the light on its subject. Glare!! Obama can't talk about this, its too volatile. So Asathe the comic once again breaks it down in a proper manner. Proper! Yes i said that, why? Its an awkward moment, when hanging out with white friends who feel so comfortable, almost accepted . These folk thrive on their complacency and gradually they drop their guard, loosing themselves in the the melanin fraternity by using the Word 'Nigger' *freeze the scene*In occasions where the Nigger word is used and there is no reaction, it is unequivocal that those around the white friend are oblivious of how to caution their friend. It is camaraderie tittering on the brink of a reprimand, that is never coming. A close friend of mine warned our crew on more than one occasion to refrain from the continuous use, of this word whilst chilling with our good white friend Pete. He said - Please don't use the word nigger when we are with Pete,please. We didn't heed his concerns. One day whilst having a great moment at a concert in Kisumu, Pete in his drunken stupor in conjunction with the warmest and most friendly of notes, surged from the crowd , embracing us in a group hug, yelling 'Whats up my niggers?' Rewind ..... If am best of friends with a white boy, it creates a very uncomfortable situation when the word Nigger is put into play . Unless of course its from Dave Chapelle's 'Nigger Family'. Where we simulate a white family with 'Nigger' as the family name !
